1. Custom Commands + Cooldown

1

BotRix — Set Up a Custom Command with Cooldown

  1. 1Go to botrix.live → Chatbot → Commands.
  2. 2Click + Add Command.
  3. 3Set Command: !specs
  4. 4Set Response: CPU: i7-14700K | GPU: RTX 4070 Ti Super
  5. 5Set Cooldown: 10s.
  6. 6Click Save.
BotRix — Chatbot → Commands — set command trigger, response text, and cooldown
💡

Popular commands to add: !specs for your PC build, !discord for your server link, !donate for your PromptPay/TipMe link, and !schedule for your stream calendar.

2. Timers (PromptPay / TipMe Donation Link)

1

BotRix — Auto-Broadcast Your Donation Link on a Timer

  1. 1Go to botrix.live → Chatbot → Timers.
  2. 2Click + Create.
  3. 3Set Name: DonateLink
  4. 4Set Interval: 20 minutes.
  5. 5Set Lines: 5 lines — minimum chat activity before the timer posts.
  6. 6Set Message: Support via PromptPay (TipMe): https://tipme.in.th/yourchannel
  7. 7Click Save.
BotRix — Chatbot → Timers — auto-broadcast your PromptPay/TipMe link every 20 minutes
💡

BotRix's timer uses a Lines threshold — it only posts when at least N chat messages have occurred since the last post. This prevents the bot from spamming donation links during quiet chat periods.

3. Subscriber-Exempt Link Protection

1

BotRix — Enable Link Protection with Subscriber Exemption

  1. 1Go to botrix.live → Modules → Moderation → Link Protection.
  2. 2Toggle Link Protection to ON.
  3. 3Under Exempted Roles, check both Subscribers and Moderators.
  4. 4General viewers who post links will have their messages auto-deleted.
  5. 5Subscribers and Moderators can post links freely — no action taken on their messages.
BotRix — Link Protection — Subscribers and Mods exempted; general viewer links auto-purged
💡

This is BotRix's standout feature — KICK's native Block Links cannot distinguish between viewer types. BotRix lets Subscribers post links freely while blocking everyone else, which rewards your paying viewers.

4. Emote Limit Protection

1

BotRix — Limit Emote Spam Per Message

  1. 1Go to botrix.live → Modules → Moderation.
  2. 2Select Emote Protection.
  3. 3Set Limit: 5 — maximum number of emotes allowed per message.
  4. 4Set Action: Delete Message & Timeout 10s.
  5. 5Any message with more than 5 emotes will be deleted and the sender timed out for 10 seconds.
BotRix — Emote Protection — max 5 emotes per message, auto-delete + 10s timeout
💡

Adjust the Limit to match your community norms. A limit of 5 works well for most chats; increase it to 10 if your audience loves emote spam during hype moments.

5. Stream Alerts Overlay (OBS)

1

BotRix — Set Up Follow and Subscribe Alert Overlays

  1. 1Go to botrix.live → Widgets → Alerts.
  2. 2Customize the alert animation, images, and sounds for Follow and Subscription events.
  3. 3Click Copy Widget URL.
  4. 4Open OBS Studio → click + Add Source → select Browser.
  5. 5Paste the Widget URL into the Browser source URL field.
  6. 6Set the resolution to 1920×1080 and click OK.
  7. 7Follow and Subscribe alerts will now pop up as overlays on your stream whenever someone follows or subscribes.
BotRix — Widgets → Alerts — copy URL and add as OBS Browser source at 1920×1080
💡

Set the Alerts Browser source as the top-most layer in your OBS Scene. This ensures alerts always appear in front of your game, camera, and other overlays.

6. Gimmick Commands (!roll, !rps)

1

BotRix — Create Interactive Gimmick Commands

  1. 1Go to botrix.live → Chatbot → Commands → click + Add Command.
  2. 2Create !roll:
  3. 3Set Command: !roll
  4. 4Set Response: @$(user) rolled: $(rand.1-100) pts! 🎲
  5. 5Set Cooldown: 30s.
  6. 6Click Save.
  7. 7Create !rps (Rock Paper Scissors):
  8. 8Click + Add Command again.
  9. 9Set Command: !rps
  10. 10Set Response: @$(user) played: $(rand.pick Rock,Paper,Scissors) ✂️🔨📄
  11. 11Set Cooldown: 10s.
  12. 12Click Save.
BotRix — !roll using $(rand.1-100) — note BotRix uses $(rand) not $(random) like KickBot
💡

BotRix uses $(rand.1-100) and $(rand.pick ...) for random values. KickBot uses $(random.1-100) — the syntax differs, so keep this in mind if you run both bots at once.

7. Live Chat Overlay Widget

1

BotRix — Add a Themed Chat Overlay to OBS

  1. 1Go to botrix.live → Widgets → Chat.
  2. 2Select a chat overlay theme from the options.
  3. 3Click Copy Widget URL.
  4. 4Open OBS Studio → click + Add Source → select Browser.
  5. 5Paste the Widget URL and set resolution to 400×600.
  6. 6Click OK — the floating chat overlay will appear on your stream.
BotRix — Widgets → Chat — choose a theme, copy URL, add as OBS Browser source at 400×600

8. Music Overlay & Song Request (!sr)

1

BotRix — Enable Song Request and Now Playing Overlay

  1. 1Go to botrix.live → Modules → Song Request.
  2. 2Toggle Song Request to ON.
  3. 3Viewers can now type !sr [YouTube URL] in chat to add songs to the queue.
  4. 4Go to Widgets → Music.
  5. 5Customize the Now Playing banner appearance (colors, font, scroll speed).
  6. 6Click Copy Widget URL.
  7. 7Open OBS Studio → click + Add Source → select Browser.
  8. 8Paste the Widget URL and set resolution to 500×150.
  9. 9The currently playing song name will now display as an overlay banner on your stream.
BotRix — Widgets → Music — Now Playing banner + !sr YouTube song request queue as OBS overlay
💡

Add the Music Widget Browser source to the bottom of your stream layout (resolution 500×150 fits well as a lower-third banner). Viewers will see the current song scrolling across the screen, which encourages more song requests.

Q

BotRix alerts aren't showing in OBS — what's wrong?

A

Check two things: (1) BotRix must have Moderator status at dashboard.kick.com/community/moderators, and (2) the Alerts Browser source must be the topmost layer in your OBS scene so it's not hidden behind other sources.

Q

Can viewers skip songs in the !sr queue?

A

BotRix's !sr queue is managed by the streamer — you control playback. The bot queues requests from viewers, but only you can skip or remove songs from the list.
